Our work simply couldn't happen without our amazing supporters, who raise the funds that help us support people living with diabetes, and fund the vital research into new treatments and ultimately a cure.

Your own event

You can fundraise for us by organising your own event, anything from a coffee morning, dress down day at work, street party, quiz night or a raffle at your hobby, workplace or social group, or something completely different, it’s up to you!

We want your event to be as fun, successful and most importantly, as safe as possible. Always be sure to check with the relevant authorities before undertaking any kind of event open to members of the public.

If you need our help at any time just give us a call on 023 9263 6138 or email fundraising@drwf.org.uk. We'd love to hear how your plans are shaping up! We can also tell you how to set up your own fundraising page on JustGiving for DRWF. Just Giving it is a fast and effective way to collect sponsorship and means that if you are a UK taxpayer, we can collect Gift Aid at the same time, making your donation worth an extra 25% at no cost to you.

We are also keen to support anyone taking part in any other event, whether organised or a personal challenge, and who would like to fundraise for DRWF. We can supply a paper sponsorship form for you to use or help you to create a page through Just Giving.

Download our Sponsorship Money Return Form here.

JustGiving has created their own fundraising A-Z for even more ideas, download it here.

If you would like a paper sponsorship form please get in touch with fundraising@drwf.org.uk or call 02392 636138.

We will supply cycle jerseys, running vests or tee shirts and all the help and advice you need.

Sponsor someone taking on a fundraising challenge

Alternatively, if you don't fancy doing an event yourself, why not sponsor one of our existing fundraisers taking on a variety of activities and challenges?

Give a home to one of our Collecting Pots

We want to encourage you, your customers and colleagues to raise funds for the charity by placing a DRWF collection pot in a prominent position at your place of work.

A collection box is a great way to collect regular donations for the charity. They can be placed in pubs, offices, shops or displayed at fundraising events. So please help turn those pennies into pounds to help research a cure for diabetes.

It’s simple to get hold of a box. Just complete this form to request a collection box and return the forms to the charity. Collection pot holders are bound by the Code of Fundraising Practice Agreement so please make sure that all documentation is read carefully and abided by.

Please telephone Karen Scott, DRWF fundraising co-ordinator, on 023 9263 6138 or email: fundraising@drwf.org.uk for any collection pot queries.

How We Can Help at DRWF

Each year we run events for people living with diabetes, ranging from educational workshops and wellness events, to fundraising marathons and group skydives. To find out more about our events and how we support people living with diabetes, please visit our Events Page.

Since 1998 we have provided over £12 million of funding for medical research programmes, with the aim of finding a cure for all types of diabetes. In 2004, we made a significant commitment to Islet Cell Research and Transplant, a programme which focuses on the role of islet cells in diabetes. Read more about our commitment to research by visiting our Research Page.

We rely on our amazing donors who raise the funds that help support people living with diabetes across the UK, as well as funding our vital research programmes.
