Second annual online event takes place from 14th to 18th November.

This Sunday, people will be logging in all over the country to join United Through Diabetes, a unique virtual experience specifically designed for people living with diabetes. 

Bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes with up-to-date education, and inspirational sessions to help people living with all types of diabetes, and their family and friends. UTD will be running throughout next week, bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes; with up-to-date education, and inspirational sessions to help people living with all types of diabetes, and their family and friends. 

What will be on offer? 

The event programme has been designed by people living with diabetes and our expert line-up of diabetes healthcare professionals: 

· 14th November - 12:00 - 14:00 - Diabetes Research - Past, Present and Future 

· 15th November - 19:00 - 20:00 – Sick day rules, flu Jabs, covid and managing diabetes during the wintertime 

· 16th November - 19:00 - 20:00 - Living with diabetes as a young person and family 

· 17th November - 19:00 - 20:00 - A selection of diet and nutrition resources to choose from for all types of diabetes; including nutrition tips for South Asian communities, Vegan versus traditional diets and more.​​​​​ 

· 18th November - 19:00 - 20:00 - The 15 Essential Diabetes Checks. What they are and why you should have them

Lee Calladine, DRWF Events Co-Ordinator, said: “As a person both living with Type 1 Diabetes and working in diabetes education, I can't stress enough the value of keeping informed and staying educated on the subject. It doesn't matter what type of diabetes you have or if you are a family member, friend, or carer, United Through Diabetes have something for everyone.”
