Event for diabetes healthcare professionals returns

Places are available now to register for this year’s Diabetes Professional Care, the UK’s leading national diabetes annual event for healthcare professionals.

The event will return on 10th and 11th November at Olympia London, for the first time in two years, following a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s face-to-face event will provide a safe environment for healthcare professionals working in diabetes to meet and learn from a programme of talks and events scheduled over two days.

Maggie Meer, Diabetes Professional Care event founder, said: “People living with diabetes have been amongst the worst affected patient groups during the pandemic, suffering from reduced access to the support and care that they need to live with their condition. This makes DPC 2021 more important than ever for the healthcare professionals caring for them.”

The focus for this year’s conference is Rebooting diabetes care - the programme will address key issues arising from the pandemic with 100s of educational sessions to help you to improve patient outcomes.

Maggie added: “As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, although living in our new digital world has brought new opportunities, it has also highlighted the fact that nothing can replace the power of face-to-face interactions, and meeting with our colleagues to share learnings.”

“This year at DPC2021, we are committed to providing a safe environment for you to meet with colleagues from around the UK and share best practice and your experiences over the past two years. A reconfigured event layout and programme will provide extra space so that everyone feels comfortable.

In addition to numerous networking and meeting spaces, the event will also feature a varied programme of structured networking and interaction through brand new Round Tables which are designed to stimulate conversations between diabetes healthcare professionals.

The DPC2021 conference programme will feature multiple panel discussions and debates, alongside practical workshops, covering everything from mental health training for consultations to insulin safety and prescribing clinical skills training. There will also be product demonstrations throughout both days.
